Cookie Policy

Last updated: Draft, 20 October 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on getkeelos.com.

In short

The site uses Google Tag Manager to run measurement tools such as PostHog. Analytics and marketing cookies are off by default and are only set if you agree to them. Everything else the site stores is there to make the pages work and never leaves your browser.

Your choices

The first time you visit, a cookie banner asks what you are happy for the site to use. You can accept everything, reject everything, or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the site works the same either way.

CategoryWhat it is forTools
EssentialMakes the pages work and remembers your cookie choice. Always on, and never used to track youThis website
AnalyticsCounts visits and shows which pages get read and how people arrive, so we can improve the sitePostHog, Google Analytics to be confirmed
MarketingShows which adverts and campaigns brought people to the siteto be added

No analytics or marketing cookies are set until you agree to that category. Your choice is applied on every page before any of these tools loads, and you can change it at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

What the site stores to work

The site keeps your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage, so it doesn’t ask again on every page. To make the site behave smoothly as you move around it, it also keeps a few small notes in session storage, which is cleared automatically when you close the tab. Both stay on your device and are never sent to us; only your choice is passed to the measurement tools on each page, so they know whether they may run.

NameWhat it doesHow long
keelos-consentRemembers which categories you agreed to and when, so the banner doesn’t reappear and your choice applies on every page. It holds only your choices, nothing that identifies you12 months from your last choice, then the banner asks again. Changing your choice starts a new 12 months; clearing your browser’s storage removes it
kosNotchSeenRemembers that the menu bar’s opening animation has already played, so it doesn’t replay on every pageUntil you close the tab
kosScrollY: followed by the page addressPuts you back where you were on a page if you refresh itUntil you close the tab, or sooner
kosSwap, kosGroundCarry the page-to-page transition across so the next page opens without a flashRemoved as soon as the next page has loaded

None of these identifies you or tracks you. Because they only make the pages you ask for work as designed, and remember the choice you made, the law does not require us to ask for consent before using them.

Analytics and marketing, only if you agree

Every page loads Google Tag Manager, a Google service that manages the measurement tools we use to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are read and how people arrive. Before it runs anything, the page tells Google that analytics and advertising storage (Google’s names for the analytics and marketing categories) are switched off, so no analytics or marketing cookies are set unless you agree to that category in the cookie banner.

For its surveys, also seenSurvey_, inProgressSurvey_ and lastSeenSurveyDate in local storagePostHogTells one visit from another so we can see which pages are read and how people move through the siteUp to 1 year to be confirmed. Only set if you agree

While these cookies are switched off, Google may still receive limited information about a visit, such as the page and the type of browser, without anything being stored on your device. To be confirmed

Google Tag Manager itself does not set cookies. Google’s use of this information is described in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Other third parties

The site’s fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads but does not set cookies for this. Our Privacy Policy covers this and our hosting provider.

Controlling cookies and storage

You can agree to or refuse analytics and marketing cookies, and change your mind at any time, using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, the page reloads so those tools stop running, and the site deletes the cookies and stored data listed above that they set on getkeelos.com. Cookies a tool sets on its own website, such as Google’s, can only be removed in your browser’s settings. You can also clear or block cookies and storage in your browser’s settings. The site still works without them; the banner will ask again, the menu bar animation may replay, and a refresh may take you back to the top.

Changes

If we add or change the cookies or similar technologies the site uses, we will update this page first and ask for your consent wherever the law requires it.
